One of GDF's most notable achievements is its environmental work, including the Kikonge tree planting project in Migori County, where over 10 million trees have been planted.
Agricultural programs like fish farming and small business development in areas like Olasi, have not only transformed the livelihoods of many individuals but also contributed positively to the local climate and environmental changes.
GDF has launched 286,460 non-funded livelihood projects as part of the 5000Plus Vision, directly impacting 1,432,300 people. The organization has made remarkable progress, with 192,954 projects visited and 93,506 projects contacted in just 10 months in 2023.
GDF has also made significant strides in promoting financial inclusion, with the creation of 4,324 savings and loan groups, 1,700 of which were established in 2023 across 37 counties.
